2) Enable or disable AUTO SHUT-OFF: with the unit off, hold
down the “ON / OFF” button, then press and release the
“BACKLIGHT” button to toggle the AUTO icon. When the icon
is lit AUTO SHUT-OFF is enabled. The unit will use the
selected setting as the default.
DISPLAY ANOMALIES
LO: The temperature being monitored is colder than -40°F (-40°C),
or the probe is not detected.
HI: The temperature being monitored is hotter than 302°F (150°C),
or the probe is damaged.
MEM: Will be lit to indicate MIN / MAX temperature values are
being displayed.
HOLD: Will be lit to indicate the displayed temperature is the
“hold” temperature. Hold temperature will flash.
AUTO: Will be lit to indicate the unit will turn itself off after five
minutes of non-use.
BATTERY ICON: Will be lit to indicate the batteries require
replacement.
A. UNLOCKING BATTERY COMPARTMENT
1) Place coin or flathead screw-driver into slot
2) Turn slot counter-clockwise towards “Unlock” icon
3) Remove battery door - install new batteries
B. LOCKING BATTERY COMPARTMENT
1) Place battery door in unit with slot facing unlock icon
2) Place coin or flathead screw-driver into slot
3) Turn slot clockwise towards “Lock” icon to lock door

RANGO DE TEMPERATURA: -40° a 150°C (-40° a 302°F)
PRECISIÓN DE TEMPERATURA: ±0.2°C (±0.3°F) o ±0.5% de
lectura, la que sea mayor
OPERACIÓN
1) Insertar la sonda en el conector de sonda.
2) Oprimir el botón de “ON / OFF” (Encender / Apagar) para
encender el aparato.
3) El medidor comenzará a monitorear las temperaturas.
4) Pantalla de lecturas MIN / MAX: el TM99A puede mostrar
las lecturas de temperatura más alta y más baja detectadas
por lasonda desde que se prendió la unidad. Oprima y suelte
el botón “MIN / MAX”. Aparecerán guiones, luego durante
algunos segundos, el valor de la temperatura MIN, que se
indica con una FLECHA HACIA ABAJO, luego aparecerá el
valor de la temperatura MAX, que se indica con una
FLECHA HACIA ARRIBA, y finalmente la unidad r egresará a
la pantalla de temperatura normal.
5) Para borrar la memoria MIN / MAX: oprima y suelte el botón
“MIN / MAX” para mostrar los valores MIN / MAX como ya se
ha indicado. Con los valores MIN / MAX en la pantalla, oprima
y suelte otra vez el botón “MIN / MAX”. Aparecerá - CLr - en
la pantalla para indicar que se ha borrado la memoria.
NOTA: También se borra la memoria MIN / MAX al apagar
la unidad.
6) Función de HOLD (Mantener): para “congelar” la lectura de
temperatura actual en la pantalla, oprima y suelte el botón de
“HOLD” (Mantener). Para regresar a la pantalla de temperatura
normal, oprima y suelte otra vez el botón de “HOLD”.
NOTA: la memoria MIN / MAX sigue actualizándose
mientras la función de HOLD está activa, pero solamente
se mostrará la temperatura “congelada”.
7) Para apagar el TM99A, oprima y suelte el botón de “ON / OFF”
(Encender/Apagar). NOTA: si la función de APAGADO
AUTOMÁTICO está activada, el TM99A se apagará después de
cinco minutos sin usarse.
CARACTERÍSTICAS
1) Para seleccionar °F o °C: con la unidad apagada, man tenga
oprimido el botón de “ON / OFF” y luego oprima y suelte el
botón de “HOLD” para cambiar entre °F y °C. Suelte el botón
de “HOLD” para cambiar entre °F y °C. Suelte el botón
“ON / OFF”. La unidad usará la escala de temperatura
seleccionada como el valor por defecto.
