New batteries should be
rechargeable: Nickel Metal Hydride
(NiMH), size AAA, capacity
600mAh.

Spare rechargeable batteries are
available from the BT Lyric Helpline
0870 605 8047.

WARNING

Do not immerse batteries in water
or throw them into a fire, or
dispose of them with ordinary
domestic refuse.

BT accepts no responsibility for
damage caused to your BT Lyric
2500 by using any other types of
batteries.

Replacing the handset batteries

After a time, you may find that the handset batteries are
running out of charge more quickly. This is a standard
sign of wear and the batteries will need replacing.

1. Pull down the small battery compartment cover and slide

off. Remove the back lens.

2. Take out the old batteries and replace with 2 new ones,

then replace the battery compartment cover and back lens.

Check that the mains power is correctly connected.

No dial tone

Is the telephone cord of the base plugged into the
phone socket?

Check that the mains power is correctly connected.
