This MFP Server supports TCP/IP network protocol and IPP, RAW and LPR printing
protocols, it can be a print server when you operate it in Win 98SE / Me / NT / 2000 / XP /
2003 / Vista, Unix / Linux and MAC OS. The IPP and RAW printing protocols can be used in
Windows 2000/XP/2003. The LPR printing protocol can be used in Windows
98SE/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista, Unix/Linux and MAC OS.
This chapter will introduce you how to install the MFP Server to be print server in Win98SE /
Me / NT.
Before you start, you should have:
„ One computer with Win98SE / Me / NT.
„ The TCP/IP network protocol has been installed in the PC.
8.1 Software Installation Procedure
The following are the installation steps in Windows 98SE. To install MFP Server in
Windows Me/NT, the procedures are similar.
1. Insert the CD shipped along with the MFP server into your CD-ROM drive. The
Autorun.exe program should be executed automatically. If not, run Autorun.exe
manually from CD-ROM drive’s root directory.
2. The following screen will be displayed. Click “Driver and Utility”.
