Jump Starting
WARNING:
NEVER jump start the vehicle directly to the starter
solenoid. Death or serious personal injury could result from the vehicle
lurching forward or backward and running over the person attempting to
jump start the vehicle directly to the starter.
WARNING:
To avoid death or serious personal injury when jump
starting with another vehicle, be certain that the two vehicles are not
touching. Never jump start the vehicle with a frozen battery as it will
explode. Keep sparks, flames and lighted smoking materials away from
the battery. Lead acid batteries generate explosive gases when charging.
Wear safety glasses when working near batteries.
