When to change ink cartridges
There are two ways to detect when you need to change cartridges:
m Look carefully at your printed documents to see if a color is missing or
looks faded. Sometimes it’s easy to see—such as when you run out of black
ink. At other times you may notice that the colors seem just a little off—
such as when you’re printing a nature scene and you run out of yellow.
m Open the printer lid and look at the ink cartridges. The cartridges are made
of translucent plastic, so you can see the ink level. Note that even when the
reservoir in the cartridge is empty, there may still be enough ink left in the
sponge to print many more pages.
How to change ink cartridges
1 Open the printer cover.
2 Remove and discard the old cartridge.
IMPORTANT Be careful not touch the ink hole, or you may be stained with ink.
WARNING Use only ink especially designed for the Color StyleWriter
Pro. The wrong ink could damage the print head and the printer, and
such damage is not covered under the warranty.
