1. Disconnect the gas hose and remove the sediment
trap from the burner box.
2. Remove the igniter. See IGNITER servicing.
3. Remove the four 3/8 in. nuts from the burner
mounting studs. See BURNER ORIFICE servicing.
4. Remove the burner orifice and the burner inlet plate.

5. Remove the four gas control valve mounting screws.

6. Remove the gas valve with manifold from the burner
box.

■ If the grommet is dislodged from the center partition
hole, the grommet must be installed within the
hole at reassembly.
■ Position the grommet into the partion hole prior to
installing the valve and manifold assembly.
-- The center partion panel hole rides within the
grommet’s groove.
■ To allow easier installation of the manifold, evenly
apply a small amount of liquid dish soap to the inner
diameter of the grommet. See Fig.31.
■ Hold the grommet in position from the burner side
of the partition panel while pushing the manifold
through the grommet’s hole.
