Press the MENU button, then press the EXIT/STATUS
button.

Press the POWER button to turn off the VCR. Auto will
flash in the display panel until the clock is set. Leave the VCR
turned off until the time appears on the display panel.

Time Zone Selection

Press the VCR button, then press the MENU button.

Press the Number 5 button to select SET CLOCK. CABLE
BOX USERS SET CLOCK MANUALLY will appear on-screen
briefly. Then, the menu shown below will appear.
(If AUTO CLOCK is set to OFF, SET TIME ZONE will not be
available in the menu. If this happens, press the EXIT/STATUS but-
ton. Then, follow steps 1 - 3 on page 16. Press the EXIT/STATUS
button, then start again at step 1 above.)

Press the Number 4 button to select SET TIME ZONE.

Press a single Number button to enter the one-digit code
for your Time Zone.

• When the power plug is connected

to an AC outlet, the correct time will
appear on the display panel of the
VCR (when the power is off).

• If you live near the boundary of an

adjacent time zone, your PBS chan-
nel may come from a different time
zone. Select the time zone of your
PBS channel at step 4.

• Cable Box users must set the clock

manually. Details are on page 14.
