29 Using your phone
Adding Phone book contacts from idle screen
Enter a phone number and press ( SAVE ). Then you can enter the
contact name and other phone numbers, and choose a caller group for the
newly saved contact. The steps are the same as described on page 26.
Finally you must press ( SAVE ) and press ( OK ) in order to save
the contact to your phone book.
Using the location number
If you want to find a telephone number stored in your phone book from
the idle screen, you can key in the phone number’s location number and
press . The phone book details of the desired number are then
displayed.
For example if you want to access a number that is stored in location 5.
Press and then to display the desired number.

However, you can’t find phone numbers stored in your phone
memory in this way.

• Each contact in the phonebook can belong to only one caller
group.
• You can also go to menu: Phone book --> Caller group to
select a caller group for the contact. See page 67 for details.
• To customize the settings of each caller group, go to menu:
Phone book --> Caller group. See page 67 for details.
/ What is a location number?
The location number of a telephone number stored in your phone book
points to the location where the number is saved in your SIM card or your
phone memory.
When you access the details of a phone book contact, the location number of
the highlighted phone number is displayed at the top of the screen, as the
screenshot on the right shows.
