By responding to the Enter Request: message at the end of the main
configuration menu (see
Section 6.1
) with "
4
" (Set Data Block
Length), you may change the data block length used in Mode 6.
The multiport will respond with:
Current Block Length is...................032
Enter Block Length (1 to 250)............:
NOTE:
Carriage Return
is required after the new length.
Enter the block length that you desire, followed by
Carriage Return
.
For example, if you enter "
100
" and
Carriage Return
, the multiport will
respond with:
Current Block Length is..................100
Save Changes Permanently? (Y/N):
If you answer "
Y
" (yes), the new block length will be saved in
non-volatile memory, and the multiport will subsequently power-up at
that new length. If you answer "
N
" (no), the new data block length will
be stored in RAM and will be lost upon next power-up. The multiport
will now return to the main configuration menu (see
Section 6.1
).
