Removing the Server from a Rack Enclosure

1. Turn off the AC switch, then disconnect the power cord.

2. If an HDD expansion unit is being used, turn off the unit’s power and

disconnect the SCSI cable.

NOTE:

After installing the expansion HDD unit in the rack, connect the

SCSI cables. Be very careful to connect channel 1 on the HDD expansion
unit to channel 1 on the server and channel 2 to channel 2. The channel
numbers are marked next to the connectors.

3. Disconnect the monitor and keyboard cables.

4. Loosen two thumbscrews securing the server.

5. Firmly grasp two handles and pull the server out.

6. Remove the four screws on each side of the system rail guides.

7. Align the screw access holes on the guide rail and remove the rear

screws.
