Do not glue
paper or put stickers onto the disc, or use a
pencil, ball-point pen or other sharp-tipped writing
inst
rument. These could all damage the disc.
Storing discs
Always sto
re discs in their cases, and place the cases
ve
rtically, avoiding places exposed to high temperature or
humidity, di
rect sunlight or extremely low temperatures.
Be su
re to read the cautions included with the disc.
Cleaning discs
It may not be
possible to play the disc if there are
finge
rprints or dust on it. In this case, using a cleaning
cloth, etc., to wi
pe the disc gently from the center toward
the oute
r edge. Do not use a dirty cleaning cloth.
Do not use benzene, thinne
r or other volatile chemicals.
Also do not use
record spray or antistatic agents.
Fo
r tough dirt, apply some water to a soft cloth, wring out
tho
roughly, wipe off the dirt, then wipe off the moisture
with a d
ry cloth.
Specially shaped discs
S
pecially shaped discs (heart-shaped, hexagonal, etc.)
cannot be used on this
player. Never use such discs, as
they will damage the
player.
Condensation on discs
If the disc is moved suddenly f
rom a cold place into a
wa
rm room (in winter, for example), water droplets
(condensation) may fo
rm on the disc surface. Discs will
not
play properly if there is condensation on them.
Ca
refully wipe off the water droplets from the disc surface
befo
re using the disc.
Troubleshooting
Inco
rrect operation is often mistaken for trouble or malfunction. If you think that there is something wrong with this
com
ponent, check the points below. Sometimes the trouble may lie in another component. Inspect the other
com
ponents and electrical appliances being used. If the trouble cannot be rectified even after checking the points
below, ask you
r nearest Pioneer authorized service center or your dealer to carry out repair work.
