Device Lock Function
Unlocking the Recorder
When the password registry is done, the
recorder will prompt for password on startup.
Unlock the recorder’s device lock through the
method below.
The default password when using the recorder
for the first time is “0000”.
Recorder access can be restricted by enabling
the device lock function. Authentication via
password can act as a safe guard for your
data even in case the recorder is lost or left
unattended.
Password registry can be performed by using
DSS Player (
☞ P.59).
Unlocking the Recorder with a
Password
1 Select the numbers you want to enter
by pressing the
+
,
–
, 9 or 0 button
to move the cursor.
2 Press the PLAY/OK button to select a
number.
A * will appear in the selected first digit and the
blinking cursor will move to the next one over (to
the right). Repeat steps 1 and 2 to enter all four
digits.
Pressing the ERASE button at any time will erase
the last entry and move the cursor to the previous
entry (to the left).
3 After all four digits have been entered,
press the
F2(ENTER) button.
If the 4 digit number entered matches the
registered password then the startup message
will appear and the recorder will start up.
