Known Issues
• The SharePoint site that the MFP browser connects to must be confi gured
to use Basic Authentication. The MFP browser does not support
NTLM/Single Sign-On or Digest Authentication.
• A browser support fi le needs to be added to the SharePoint server in order
to work correctly with the MFP’s NetFront browser. This fi le describes
to the SharePoint system how to format its HTML pages in such a way
that the NetFront browser can work with the server.
• The MFP browser can print .PDF, Compact .PDF and Searchable .PDF fi les
from the SharePoint server. It does not support fi le types like Microsoft Word,
Microsoft Excel or TIFF. Attempts to open other fi le types that the MFP browser
does not support will result in a “File not supported” error message.
• The MFP supports the following scan fi le types when uploading to SharePoint:
.PDF, Compact .PDF, Searchable .PDF, .XPS, Compact XPS and .TIFF.
• The Record Center site template is not supported. Attempting to upload fi les
to a folder with this template will fail.
• In fi le list views, columns can only be sorted using the ascending sort.
Attempts to sort in a descending order may result in an error.
• Data entry for all fi elds is limited to 256 characters. This is a limit of the
Konica Minolta MFP soft keyboard. Editing fi elds with more data will truncate
the data to 256 characters.
• The MFP browser has only been tested with the default Microsoft provided
templates for the SharePoint site. It has not been tested with any site-
customized templates.
• Only SharePoint 2007 has been tested and is known to work.
• Other SharePoint actions such as creating Tasks or Announcements
are known not to work. The browser will work for document storage only.
• Some unsupported actions will result in a JavaScript error dialog to the user.
• The left document tree menu may not render as expected in a normal
browser. It is still functional but will be centered vertically on the MFP browser’s
web page.
