6. Commissioning, operation

■

For flange mounting, only use sealings with a sufficiently large inner diameter and centre them;

contact with the diaphragm leads to measuring errors.

■

When using soft or PTFE sealings, observe the instructions of the sealing manufacturer, particularly

with regard to tightening torque and load cycles.

■

When using a welding socket, position this so that the hole for leakage detection points downwards.

Weld the welding socket flush with the inner wall of the vessel and grind down. The surface rough-

ness of the ground surfaces should be better than Ra ≤ 0.8 µm.

6.2 Making the electrical connection

The instrument must be earthed via the process connection!

■

For cable outlets, make sure that no moisture enters at the cable end.

6.3 Zero point adjustment

Check the indicated zero point on the display during commissioning.

Should an offset be displayed as a result of installation, this can be reset in programming mode with the

0SET parameter (see chapter 6.7 "Menu").

If a shut-off valve is available, open it slowly after installation in order to avoid pressure

surges.
