INSTALLING THE LIGHT KIT & GLASS SHADE

Warning:Shut off the power supply before removing or replacing

lamp. In handling of halogen bulb, care should be taken not to

touch it with your bare hands. Oil residue will shorten the life of

the halogen bulb. If you accidentally come into contact, wipe

thoroughly with a clean, lint-free,cotton cloth. Allow the bulb to

cool for 10 minutes before changing the bulb. Use light bulb in

accordance with the fan's specifications. DO NOT EXCEED THE

MAXIMUM WATTAGE RATING.
Step 1. Remove one of the three screws from the light plate and

loosen the other two (do not remove). Plug the wires from the fan

to the two wires from the light kit. (Fig. 20)

Step 2. Place the light kit over the two screws previously loosened

(use the two key-holes from the light kit) and turn until it locks

into place. Install the 3rd screw previously removed and securely

tighten all three screws. (Fig. 21)
Step 3. Install the 2-50w Mini-Can halogen bulbs (included). (Fig.
22)

Step 4. Remove the finial, nut and washer from the threaded rod.

Step 5. Install glass shade over the threaded rod and secure in place

by replacing the washer, nut and finial previously removed. (Fig. 23)

Attention: The Energy Policy Act of 2005 requires this fan to be

equipped with a 190 watt limiting device. If lamping exceeds 190

watts, the ceiling fan’s light kit will shut off automatically.
