Instruction Manual
This is the closed position. Open Air Release Valve Close Valve Using 2 Thumbs
INFLATION
NOTE: BED MUST BE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE PRIOR TO INFLATING OR IT MAY CAUSE AIR LEAKS.
1. Place your rolled-up bed on the floor or other surface free of obstructions or sharp objects.
2. Make certain the Quick Air Release Valve located at the head of the bed is closed. If the Air Release Valve is open, close it by using 2 thumbs to
push cover and snap into valve. Be careful to avoid pushing valve cover to the right or left as it snaps into the valve opening.
3. Remove the protective plastic cap from the valve by turning counter clockwise. Open the protective rubber cap at the end of the pump. Press the
mouth of the pump into position on the inflation/Release Valve and turn clockwise until it locks (see figure C).
4. A one-quarter turn clockwise automatically starts inflation.
5. At approximately 60 seconds, a high pitch whine of the pump will signal the bed is inflated to full (firmest) capacity. Bed will not over-inflate.
8. Detach pump by turning counter clockwise. Lie on bed and check the firmness. If you want your bed to be softer, depress the button in the center
of the valve. If the bed becomes too soft, reattach the pump and reinflate the bed until the desired level of firmness is achieved (see figure D).
IMPORTANT: Be sure to close the protective valve cap after inflation.
RECHARGEABLE Ni-Cd PUMP
IMPORTANT: PUMP MUST BE CHARGED FOR 24 HOURS PRIOR TO THE FIRST INFLATION. Use the AC adaper to charge your pump
for 24 hours. For maximum performance, be sure to fully discharge pump before recharging. After initial charge and use, charge pump for 12 HOURS
at a time. Charging your pump for periods shorter or longer than 12 hours will substantially decrease the life of your Ni-Cd pump. In an emergency, a
3 hour charge will provide one inflation, however, continued charging for 3 hour periods will substantially decrease the life of your Ni-Cd pump.
IMPORTANT: ALWAYS store pump and charger in a cool, dry place. DO NOT allow pump or charger to get wet. Allowing pump and/or charger to
get wet will void your warranty.
TO CHARGE / RECHARGE:
a) First, remove pump and charger from box (see figure A).
b) Second, remove tiny rubber plug from hole on the back of the pump. Insert the charger’s mini-plug in the hole (see figure B).
c) Third, plug the charger unit into any standard 110V (or 220V depending on your local service) electrical outlet and let it charge for 12 hours
(24 hours on initial charge).
NOTE: For best pump performance, you must completely drain the charge from your pump prior to recharging. For directions, see discharge section below.
Prior To Inflation:
a) Unplug the pump after it has been charged for 12 hours (24 hours on initial charge).
b) Remove charger unit from the electrical outlet and the mini-plug from the pump.
c) Re-insert the tiny rubber plug into the hole on the back of the pump.
NOTE: Pump will not run while charger is plugged into an electrical outlet.
To Discharge:
a) Place pump on valve as if to inflate product.
b) Allow pump to run until the pump motor dies down.
NOTE: When properly used, your pump will hold a full charge for approximately 90 days. When storing pump for longer than 90 days, fully discharge
and recharge pump every 120 days. This will help maximize pump life.
TO USE PUMP INSTANTLY WITHOUT HAVING TO RECHARGE THE NI-CD BATTERIES:
a) First, remove the tiny rubber plug from hole on the back side of the pump.
b) Second, insert the 12-volt DC adapter mini-plug into the hole.
c) Third, plug the DC power cord into a standard 12-volt DC automobile cigarette lighter or accessory 12-volt outlet and turn ignition to the accessory position.
Do not operate pump while engine is running.
d) When the bed is fully inflated, detach pump and unplug the 12-volt adapter from the lighter.
WARNING: Do not leave the pump plugged into the cigarette lighter or 12-volt DC outlet, doing so could damage the life of the Ni-Cd batteries. PUMP
SHOULD ONLY BE USED WITH AERO ADAPTERS PROVIDED. DO NOT USE WITH ANY OTHER ADAPTERS. To avoid against risk of fire, electric
shock or injury to persons, read all instruction before using.
CAUTION! Do not incinerate or disassemble this pump, it could result in an explosion or release of toxic materials. Do not short circuit the pump, it may
cause burns.
IMPORTANT: PUMP CONTAINS NICKEL-CADMIUM BATTERIES. BATTERIES MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF PROPERLY.
