Video clips (video) and still image clips (stills) can be
imported from the card in the SD Video Camera.
Motion videos recorded with an SD Video Camera are
stored on a card in SD-Video format. These motion videos
are imported onto the PC’s hard disk as editable MPEG2
files*.
* MPEG2 files to be edited that have an aspect ratio of
16:9 (wide) may not be displayed correctly by
applications that do not support the SD-Video format.
These files can be converted into MPEG2 files used
commonly by using the File output mode. (
• Audio from editable MPEG2 files is captured to a PC in
MPEG format (MPEG1 Audio Layer2).
Action Required
` Connect the SD Video Camera to the PC, and select
[PC CONNECT] from the [SELECT USB FUNCTION]
menu. (With some cameras, the connection is made to
the PC in the PC Connection Mode.)
` Do not remove the card or cable while the connected
device is accessing the card or data is being transferred.
Doing so may cause the software to crash or data to
become corrupted.
` Do not perform other operations or use other
applications while data is being transferred. Doing so
may cause the software to crash or data to become
corrupted.
` The delete function (
) in the SD card input mode
simply changes the file management information and
does not delete the data on the card completely. If you
discard or transfer the card, it is recommended that you
physically destroy the card or delete the data on the card
completely. Managing the data on the card is your own
responsibility.
