Changing the sound quality
• When the unit is not in the stop state, press
[STOP g/RETURN].
1 Press [MENU].
2 Press u, i to select “MODE”
and press [q OK] to enter.
3 Press +, – to select “PCM”, “XP”,
“LP”, or “SLP” and press [q OK]
to enter.
(The factory setting is “XP”.)
To exit the setting screen, press
[STOP g/RETURN].
The selected sound quality is
displayed.
You can change the sound quality. This allows you to provide the best sound quality for the
particular purpose.
● Depending on the setting, the sound quality and remaining recording time (➜ page 51) will differ.

● When the sound quality is set to “SLP”, the recording becomes monaural.
