File type
The following file types only can be converted to the MSV file type and vice versa
• ICS (Sony IC Recorder) files, recorded as SP mode using IC Recorder ICD-R100
• PCM 8/11 kHz, 8-bit/16-bit monaural WAV files

About file size
When a message is saved in a different file type, the file size of a message differs as follows:
• Approximate file size of a one-minute message recorded in SP mode
MSV file: approx. 243KB
ICS file: approx. 248 KB
8-bit WAV file: approx. 660 KB
16-bit WAV file: approx. 1,320 KB
(KB: kilobytes)
• Approximate file size of a 60-minute message recorded in SP mode
MSV file: approx. 14.1MB
ICS file: approx. 14.6 MB
8-bit WAV file: approx. 37.8 MB
16-bit WAV file: approx. 75.7 MB
(MB: megabytes)
• Approximate file size of a 120-minute message recorded in LP mode
MSV file: approx. 13.7 MB
ICS file: cannot be converted.
8-bit WAV file: approx. 55 MB
16-bit WAV file: approx. 109 MB
