Step 1: Installing the Projector

To remove the installed Conversion Lens
1 Remove the end of the safety wire of the
installed Lens from the bottom of the
projector by removing the screw.
2 Turn the installed Lens counterclockwise
until it can be removed.
Notes
• Be sure not to drop the uninstalled Conversion Lens.
• When you adjust picture distortion using “V Keystone” or
“Side Shot” in the INSTALL SETTING menu with the
optional Conversion Lens attached to the projector, the
aspect ratio of the original picture may not be correctly
displayed.
Installing the Projector and a
Screen — Floor Installation
The installation distance between the projector and
screen varies depending on the size of the screen.

Determine the installation
position of the projector and
screen.
a: Minimum projection distance between the
screen and the center of the projector’s lens
when you place the projector on the side
(“Side Shot”), or when you place the
projector with the center of the screen and the
center of the lens aligned.
b: Maximum projection distance between the
screen and the center of the projector’s lens
when you place the projector on the side, or
when you place the projector with the center
of the screen and the center of the lens
aligned.
c: Maximum horizontal distance between the
right/left end of the screen and the center of
the projector’s lens when the projector is
placed on the side (when you use projection
distance a)
d: Maximum horizontal distance between the
right/left end of the screen and the center of
the lens when the projector is placed on the
side (when you use projection distance b)
e: Maximum vertical distance from the bottom
of the screen to the center of the projector’s
lens when you place the projector on the side
(when you use projection distance a)
f: Maximum vertical distance from the bottom
of the screen to the center of the projector’s
lens when you place the projector on the side
(when you use projection distance b)
When projecting using both “Side Shot”
and “V Keystone” adjustments
Position the projector with the lens end within
the area
in the illustration, by using the
values a to f in the table below as a guide.
