Customer registration
DI customer registration
Your camcorder offers network functions in addition to its basic functions. To take full
advantage of these network functions, you should finish DI (Digital Imaging) customer
registration for the services provided. For details of services available, refer to the
supplied flyer “Getting Online now with your Sony Network Handycam
® camcorder”.
Before carrying out DI customer registration, see “Online Privacy Policy” on page 151
and agree to the terms. For the latest information, refer to “http://www.sel.sony.com/
SEL/legal/privacy.html”.
You can carry out DI customer registration in one of the following ways:

Online registration with a computer (recommended)
2 Online registration with your camcorder
When you finish your DI customer registration, your DI customer ID and password are
issued immediately.
Tip
After DI customer registration, you can continue to register your Album on the Web
and “So-net”.
Online registration with a computer
You can carry out customer registration with a computer. The URL of the web site for
online registration is “http://www.myimagecam.com/”.
Tip
We recommend online registration with a computer if you have a computer and you do
not want to input many characters on your camcorder.
Online registration with your camcorder
You can carry out DI customer registration with your camcorder.
For online registration with your camcorder, you must use a private line. Since the
registration process is assigned a toll-free telephone number, the telephone charge for
online registration will not be added to your telephone bill if you use a dial-up
connection.
Notes
•Set up your camcorder and a communication device so that they are communicating
with each other beforehand. For details, refer to the operating instructions of the
communication device.
•It may take a while to finish online registration.
•Use the AC Adaptor when registering online with your camcorder.
•Be sure to set the clock of your camcorder beforehand. For details, refer to “Setting the
date and time” in the operating instructions supplied with your camcorder.
•If you use a LAN connection, you may need to perform certain settings before
carrying out online registration with your camcorder.
•You cannot carry out online registration with your camcorder in a LAN environment
that has a firewall, such as in a company.
