B The CLIÉ handheld is placed near the IR port of your computer.
Move your CLIÉ handheld away from your computer’s infrared port
except when performing an IR HotSync
®
operation, as a malfunction may
occur. Or, tap General in the Preferences screen and check that the
Beam Receive function is turned off.
B Perform a soft reset by pressing the reset button.

Your CLIÉ handheld keeps turning itself off
B Your CLIÉ handheld is designed to turn itself off after a period of
inactivity (Automatic power-off). You can set your own automatic
power-off period by tapping
General - Auto-off After in the
Preferences screen.

B Your CLIÉ handheld is setting to Security .
When you set Security , your CLIÉ handheld will turn off faster, even if
you set the automatic power-off time, by the above procedure.

Your CLIÉ handheld does not make any sounds
B Tap General in the Preferences screen and check that System Sound
is turned off.
