ward a few times.

In case of overloading, the drive motor au-
tomatically switches off after a certain peri-
od.
Î

Allow machine to cool down at least for
15 minutes.

Î

Press again the drive fuse on the oper-
ating panel.

You must attach a pad to the pad driver
plate before starting up the appliance (see
"Maintenance tasks").

Warning!

Risk of damage to the floor covering. Do not
operate the appliance on the spot.
Î

Press button for lowering polishing head
- the pad drive starts as soon as the
drive pedal is pressed.

Î

Press accelerator pedal and drive to the
surface to be polished.

Note
While polishing, speed stage 2 is recom-
mended as the maximum speed. Speed
stage 3 is only meant for driving during
transportation.
Î

Adjust the contact pressure at the turn-
ing handle.
The display of the pad contact pressure
must always be in the green range.

Warning

Floors can get damaged on account of too
high contact pressure. Carry out the initial
polishing attempts with less contact pres-
sure. Increase the contact pressure as per
requirements until the desired polishing re-
sult is achieved.

Select the smallest speed range using
the speed button.

Î

Press the button for raising the polishing
head.
The pad drive stops as soon as the pol-
ishing head is raised from the floor.

Î

Park the machine on an even surface.

Î

Turn key to "0" and remove it.

Î

Carry out maintenance jobs "daily/ after
finishing work" (see section "Mainte-
nance and Care").

Risk of injury! When loading or unloading
the machine, it may only be operated on
gradients of max.

If you want to transport the machine on
a vehicle secure it from slipping using
belts/ ropes.

1 Fastening points

Risk of injury! Before carrying out any tasks
on the machine, set the main key to "0" and
remove it. Pull out the battery plug.

Before starting working:
Î

Check tyre status.

Î

Check whether pads are sitting correct-
ly.

Î

Check the inserts of the suction hose for
leaks.

Î

Check safety pedal, accelerator pedal
and steering wheel for correct function-
ing.

Î

Check acid level in wet batteries; refill
distilled water, if required.

After finishing working:
Î

Check filled level of the filter bag; re-
place, if required.

Î

Clean the outside of the appliance with
a damp cloth which has been soaked in
mild detergent.

Î

Check device externally for damage.

Î

Charge the batteries.

Î

Clean upper side of the batteries.

Î

Check acid density in wet batteries.

Î

Check battery cable for correct position-
ing.

Î

Check dust cover on the polishing head
for wear and damage; replace, if re-
quired (see "Maintenance tasks").

Î

Clean battery room and battery casing.

Î

Check tension of the drive chain (see
"Maintenance tasks").

Î

Check drive belt for wear and tear.

Check immobilising brake. *

Î

Clean the polishing head.

Î

Check carbon brushes and commutator
of drive motor and suction turbine for
wear. *

Î

Check tightening device of steering
chains. *

To ensure a reliable operation of the appli-
ance maintenance contracts can be con-
cluded with the competent Kärcher sales
office.

Open lid of filter chamber.

Remove the holder of the filter bag.

Î

Pull out carefully the full filter bag from
the suction hose and dispose it off.

Î

Push the new filter bag over the suction
hose till the carton is at the same height
as the upper edge of the holder.

Î

Replace the holder.

Î

Close the lid of filter chamber.

Î

Loosen the turning lock in the centre of
the pad drive place by turning it in anti-
clockwise direction.

Î

Remove the pad.

Î

Place the pad in the centering tool.

Î

Insert the centering tool with the pad
from the bottom into the polishing head
and thus center the pad.

Î

Tighten the pad using the turning lock
(by turning in clockwise direction).

Î

Remove the centering tool from below
and store it in the filter chamber.
