After sealing the case, perform a fi nal check for leaks.
Before use, be sure that the camera is functioning normally and that the case
does not leak. Failure to check for leaks before use could result in irreparable
damage to the camera.
Important!
Immerse the case in water and check for leaks as
described in Steps 3 – 6 of “Check for Leaks” (
6–7). Check that the desiccant stays dry and that
no water enters the case. If a leak is detected,
immediately remove the FJ-CP1 from the water,
dry the camera and case thoroughly, and check
that the seal is undamaged and the case is fully
closed. If the cause of the leak can not be deter-
mined, take the product to a Nikon-authorized
service representative.
