4. Connecting the LS-1000

4.1

Before Connection

Before connecting the cables, confirm that all devices, including
the computer system and the LS-1000, are turned off.

For an IBM PC/AT or compatible in which an SCSI board has
not been installed, install an SCSI board as explained in the
manual supplied with the board.

When installing an SCSI board for the first time, be careful not
to use the same number as used for another purpose such as
an I/O address, interrupt number, or graphic board DMA
channel.

Note: Make sure that the PC is powered off before installing the
SCSI board.
