Changing the Orientation (Vertical/Horizontal) of Images
Image orientation can be changed after taking a picture using
Rotate image (A 90) in the
playback menu (
Displaying the Histogram and Shooting Information
Press the
k button in full-frame playback mode to display the histogram and the
shooting information (not possible with movies). Press the
k button again to
return to full-frame playback mode.

A is displayed as the shooting mode.

A histogram is a graph showing the distribution of tones in the image. The horizontal axis
corresponds to brightness, with dark tones to the left and bright tones to the right. The
vertical axis shows the number of pixels.
Switch to shooting
mode

Press the A button or the shutter-release
button. Pressing the
b (movie-record)
button will also return the camera to
shooting mode.
