Focusing ring

Configuration
① Focusing ring
Can be pulled out by clickstops.
② Diopter adjustment ring
Usually, this ring is covered by the
focus ring.
It is made operable by pulling out
the focusing ring.
Position and functions
Position Ⅰ :
Pushed into the deepest (Focusing)
position.
Focusing ring can be used.
Position Ⅱ :
Fully pulled-out (Diopter
adjustment) position.
Focusing ring rotates freely.
Diopter adjustment ring becomes
operable.

Focusing position
Diopter adjustment position
Diopter adjustment adjusts the balance of right
and left eyesight. If more than one viewer uses the
same binoculars, adjustment is necessary when a
different person uses it.
If binoculars are used by one person only,
readjustment of the diopter is unnecessary after it
has been initially adjusted.
1 Push the focusing ring ① in and look into the
left eyecup with the left eye.
Then focus on a distant object by rotating the
focusing ring ① .
2 Pull out the focusing ring ① so that the diopter
adjustment ring ② becomes operable.
3 Look into the right eyecup with the right eye,
then focus with the right eye on the same
target while rotating the diopter adjustment
ring ②
.
4 Check focusing on both eyes diopter adjustment>. 5 When in focus, push the focusing ring ① in to prevent the operation of the diopter 6 When the subject changes, refocus the new subject by rotating the focusing ring ① . ・Rotate clockwise to focus on a more distant subject. ・Rotate counterclockwise to focus on a closer subject. 7 When focusing is not necessary, set the focusing ring ① in the diopter adjustment position, so 1 2
adjustment ring ② .
that it doesn't change the focusing position
even if you accidentally touch it. (Be aware that
diopter adjustment becomes operable.)
