Setting Up the Parental
Control
The Parental Control function works in conjunction with
DVDs that have been assigned a rating - which helps
you control the types of DVDs that your family watches.
There are up to 8 rating levels on a disc.

With the unit in Stop mode/No Disc mode, press
the MENU button on the remote control.

Press the …† buttons to select Setup, then press
the ENTER or √ button.

Press the …† buttons to select Parental Control,
then press the ENTER or √ button.

Create a 4-digit password using the 0 to 9 buttons
on the remote control.

The Re-enter Password screen appears to confirm
the password. Enter your password again, and
then press the ENTER or √ button.

Press the …† buttons to select On, then press the
ENTER or √ button.
The Parental Control screen appears.

About the Rating Level

Press the …† buttons to select Rating Level, then
press the ENTER or √ button.

Press the …† buttons to select the rating level you
want, then press the ENTER or √ button.
For example, if you select up to Level 6, discs that
contain Level 7, 8 will not play. A larger number
indicates that the program is intended for adult use
only.
