Personal
Access settings to configure the Lock screen, Security,
Language and input, and Backup and reset.
Accounts
Create and modify your accounts (such as, Email, Google
Account, Samsung Account, and so on).
System
Manage motions and gestures, accessories, date and time,
software updates, and other features of the device.
Settings Screen Options
Some options are enabled or disabled by touching the
ON/OFF button to turn the option ON
or OFF .
For some options, you must touch the field, such as Wi-Fi, to
display and set more options.
Some options are enabled or disabled by touching a check
box. When enabled, a
check mark displays. Touch the
check mark to remove it and disable the option.
Airplane Mode
Use Airplane mode when you are in an airplane or in any
other area where data is prohibited. When Airplane mode is
active, you can still use many of your device’s features, such
as Camera, Games, and more.
Important! When your device is in Airplane Mode, it cannot
access online information or applications.
1. From a Home screen, touch Apps ➔ Settings
➔ Airplane mode.
2. Touch the ON/OFF button to turn Airplane
mode ON .
Note: You can also set Airplane mode from the Device options
menu. Press and hold the Power/Lock key, then touch
Airplane mode.
Note: When enabled, the Airplane mode icon displays in
the Status Bar.
