: Use this for shooting still
images at night or in
other dark conditions.
[PORTRAIT] ( )
: To take a picture of a
person.
[CHILDREN] ( )
: To take a picture of fast
moving objects, for
example, children.
[LANDSCAPE] ( )
: To take pictures of distant scenery.
[CLOSE UP] ( )
: Close-up shooting for small objects such as plants
and insects.
[TEXT] ( )
: Use this mode to shoot a document.
[SUNSET] ( )
: For taking pictures of sunsets.
[DAWN] ( )
: Daybreak scenes.
[BACKLIGHT] ( )
: For portraits without shadows caused by backlighting.
[FIREWORK] ( )
: Firework scenes.
[BEACH&SNOW] ( ) : For ocean, lake, beach and snow scape scenes.

Exposure compensation
Scene menu
ƅ This camera automatically adjusts the exposure according to the ambient
lighting conditions. You can also select the exposure value by using the + / -
button.
ż A negative exposure compensation value reduces the exposure.
Note that a positive exposure compensation value increases the exposure
and the LCD monitor will appear white or you may not get good pictures.
ƀ Compensating Exposure
1. Press the exposure compensation menu button
and the exposure compensation menu bar will
appear as shown.
2. Touch the button and slide your finger to select
the exposure value.
3. Press the exposure compensation menu button
again. The value you set will be saved and the
Exposure Compensation setup mode will close.
