Never push objects of any kind into this telephone through
housing slots, since the objects may touch hazardous voltage
points or short out parts that could result in a risk of electric
shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the telephone.

To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble this
product. There are no user serviceable parts inside. Opening or
removing covers may expose you to hazardous voltages.
Incorrect reassembly can cause electric shock when the
telephone is subsequently used. If your telephone does not
work properly, refer to “Troubleshooting.”

Replace with specified batteries only and insert with the correct
polarity.

Do not place the base on an unstable cart, stand, or table. The
product may fall, causing severe damage to the product.
■
Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Unplug the
base from the wall outlet and remove the line cord from the
modular wall jack before cleaning.
■
Slots and openings in the housing and the back or bottom are
provided for ventilation. To protect the housing from overheat-
ing, these openings must not be blocked or covered. There-
fore, do not place the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or other
similar surface. Also, do not place this product in an enclosed
installation unless proper ventilation is provided.

Never place this product near or over a radiator or heat
register.
■
Operate the base only from 120V AC power. If you are not sure
of the type of power supply to your home or business, consult
your dealer or local power company.
