Installation Instructions
MAXIMUM DUCT LENGTH: For satisfactory air movement,
the total duct length of a 3
1
⁄
4
” x 10” rectangular should not
exceed 65 equivalent feet.
NOTE: Any home ventilation system, such as a ventilation
hood, may interrupt the proper flow of combustion air and
exhaust required by fireplaces, gas furnaces, gas water
heaters and other naturally vented systems. To minimize the
chance of interruption of such naturally vented systems, follow
the heating equipment manufacturer’s guidelines and safety
standards such as those published by NFPA and ASHRAE.
When applicable, install any makeup (replacement) air system
in accordance with local building code requirements. Visit
GEAppliances.com for available makeup air solutions.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTION
WARNING –
Improper grounding can result in a risk of
electric shock.
This appliance must be grounded . In the event of an electrical
short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by
providing an escape wire for the electric current .
This appliance is qualified for use with a power cord having a
grounding wire with a grounding plug . The plug must be plugged
into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded .
Consult a qualified electrician or service technician if the
grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if doubt
exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded .
Do not use an extension cord . If the power supply cord is too
short, have a qualified electrician install an outlet near the
appliance .
