Expansion board options

The server supports PCI, PCI-X, and PCI Express expansion boards.

Installing an expansion board (slot 2)

Remove the expansion slot cover.

5.

Install the expansion board.

Connect any required internal or external cables to the expansion board. Refer to the documentation

Removing an expansion slot cover (slot 3, 4, or 5)

CAUTION:

To prevent damage to the server or expansion boards, power down the server and

remove all AC power cords before removing or installing the PCI riser cage.

CAUTION:

To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless

all PCI slots have either an expansion slot cover or an expansion board installed.
