setting up the printer
Follow these steps to set up the printer:
1. Select Chooser from the Apple menu.
2. Click the HP printer icon in the left side of the Chooser dialog box.
3. Click the HP printer name in the right side of the Chooser dialog box.
If the printer and computer are connected over AppleTalk, and the printer does not
appear in Chooser, click the Setup button, then select the correct printer type.
4. Close the Chooser.

The built-in ethernet feature is available on the hp deskjet 6127 series printer. Only Macintosh
computers running Mac OS 9.04+ or Mac OS X v10.1+ and that support TCP/IP can
communicate with the printer via the built-in ethernet feature.
selecting a default printer
After setting up the printer with the Chooser, use one of the following methods to select it as the default
printer:

Click the menu bar printer icon at the top of the screen, then select the printer name.
●
Click the control strip printer icon, then select the printer name.
●
Click the desktop printer icon, then choose Set Default Printer from the Printing menu.
