2-1-2 Licensing
Pocket ViewPoint requires a runtime license key. To request a license key, visit the following
website www.hppocketviewpoint.com/License/PVPRegistration.asp
The license will then be sent to the email address provided during the registration process.
On receiving the email, follow the instructions in the email to activate Pocket ViewPoint.
2-2 Installation
There are 3 different ways to install PVP namely:
o
PVPInstall.exe: The PC–based wizard installer for PVP. (Recommended process)
o
Manual Installation: Use this option if the wizard installation fails (e.g. Java Run Time cannot be
installed on the PC.)
o
IPSetup.exe : The IPSetup (DSM/SCM) installer for Pocket ViewPoint.
Note: Previous version of Pocket ViewPoint need not be uninstalled if the process names and ports
used are unique/different. To uninstall previous versions, stop Pocket ViewPoint in the (old) install
subvolume and delete the files in the subvolume.
2-2-1 Install Basics
2-2-1-1 Overview
The host components of Pocket ViewPoint need to be installed on the NonStop server. The
smartphone browser then accesses these components via HTTP to provide the features of Pocket
ViewPoint.
2-2-1-2 NonStop Host Component
PVP’s host component can be installed in three ways as stated in

PVP installation pack includes the following NonStop Server files:
* CPROCAPP
* CSVRAPP
* COLLCONF
* FINFLIB
* FINFO
* FDIST
* INFOFIND (Wizard install only)
* INSTPVP (Manual/IPSETUP installs only)
* LISTAPP
* POCKETVP
* PROCMAN
