2 DP Storage Server startup
Before beginning the startup procedures, verify that the DP Storage Server
is completely installed, and that all cables and cords are connected. Also,
read the supplied documentation before starting. Documents include:
• HP ProLiant DP Storage Server installation instructions (for your
model)
• HP ProLiant Storage Server administration guide
• HP ProLiant Storage Server release notes (available at:
http://www.hp.com/go/servers )
To start DP Storage Server for the first time:
• Administer the DP Storage Server , page 23
• Install the Windows Multilingual User Interface (MUI)
(optional) , page 25
• Prepare the DP Storage Server for DPM installation , page 26
• Run the DPM mini-setup , page 27
• Complete additional setup (optional) , page 30.
• Change default storage configurations (optional) , page 31
NOTE:
The WebUI is disabled until the DPM mini-setup is complete.
Administer the DP Storage Server
Use one of the following administration methods:
• Using the Remote Desktop Connection method , page 23
• Using the Direct Attach method , page 24
• Using the Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) method , page 25
Using the Remote Desktop Connection method
DP Storage Server ships with DHCP enabled on the network port. If the
