The aci_eject3 function ejects a range of volumes from the
AML. See Figure 4-37.

The volser_range field has a maximum size of 512 bytes.

Parameter Description
eject_area logical area defined in the AMS, where the cartridges should be
ejected
volser_range • a single volser
• multiple volsers separated by commas
• a range of volsers separated by a hyphen
• set to empty (““ or ‘\0’) if it is not to be changed
type media type of the named volser range
