First-time Setup
When you turn on the camcorder for the first time, you will need to set a
few important settings, which the camcorder will guide you through. You
can also change these settings later by touching the [
] control button
that appears on the upper left of the screen after you finish this setup.
1 Touch the language used for
onscreen displays and then
touch [æ].
After you select a language, the
[Date Format] screen will appear.
2 Select your preferred date/time
format and then touch [æ].
After you select the date format, the
[Date/Time] screen will appear with the
first field selected.
3 Change the date/time.
1 Touch a field you want to change.
2 Touch [Í] or [Î] to change the field.
3 Touch to use 24-hour clock.
4 When finished, touch [OK] and then
[æ]. Next, the [Movie Format] screen
will appear.
4 Select the movie format.
1 Select [·] to record movies with
fantastic picture quality. Select [¸] if
you plan on uploading your movies to
the Web or transferring them to other
devices. Next, touch [æ].
