Selecting Transponder >TK5551 from the Setup menu, opens the the TK5530 user interface. Two tabs
are available – Read and Write. The Read tab is divided into two areas – Configuration Setup and Read
Timings. The following parameters can be configured in the Configuration Setup area:

Bitrate: Rf/8,

Rf/16,

Rf/32, Rf/40, Rf/50, Rf/64, Rf/100 and Rf/128

„

Coding:

Manchester, Biphase, direct, PSK..., FSK,...

„

ID-Code Length:

Block0, Block1, Block 1 to 2, Block 1 to 3, ..., Block 1 to 7

„

Signature:

Header, Sequence Terminator, Block Terminator, and Block and Sequence

Terminator

„

Password:

Selecting this check box activates password mode

(see

Section 5.4.1 ”Password PWD Mode”

)

„

Lock Block 0:

Selecting this check box locks the configuration block of the transponder.

This means that the bit rate, coding, etc., are locked and cannot be changed.

Use this feature with care.

Stop-Mode enable:

Obey stop command

Answer On Request:

Activates anticollision mode (selecting this shows an additional button for AOR

wake-up, see

Section 5.4.2 ”Answer On Request AOR Mode”

).

Note:

The base station IC U2270B does not support the reading of all bit rates and codings offered by the tran-
sponder type. If a non-supported mode is configured, a warning message will be displayed on the screen.
