Installing the MemCool FB-DIMM fan (optional)
The FB-DIMMs generate heat during continued operation. To ensure optimum
thermal condition and performance, install the optional MemCool FB-DIMM fan.
To install the optional FB-DIMM fan:
1. Locate the three FB-DIMM fan holes
on the motherboard.
2. Disengage the fan top cover from
the fan base. You can do this by
firmly gripping the top cover by the
clamps to release the hooks, then
pull up the top cover carefully until it
separates from the fan base.
DO NOT remove the fan from the
fan base.

3. Position the fan base over the
DIMMs, and insert the fan base legs
into the FB-DIMM holes until the
legs are securely in place.
