Often, larger meters may be equipped with electronic correctors with pulsed outputs or separate pulsers that provide a pulse
output at a predetermined value The pulse value might range anywhere from 5 cubic feet per pulse up to 1000 cubic feet per
pulse and may vary by how a utility has programmed the device Refer to Sections 2 and 3 for additional information

Step 3: Determine Number of Digits in Consumption Reading
Each meter index will have either a series of dials or odometers that present the accumulated consumption reading Typically,
residential meters have 4 digits but occasionally may have 5 digits Larger meters may typically have 5 or 6 digits
