HYMEC inStallation

> In the case of doubt arrange to have the installation carried out by a specialist workshop!
> In the event of damage due to improper installation, MAGURA will not be responsible for replacement!
> Any changes or modifications made to the motorcycle clutch system can have considerable effect on
the clutch operation. MAGURA does not accept any responsibility with regards to guarantee or product
liabilty if any modifications have been made to the clutch system.
1. MaStEr inStallation
Dismantle the mechanical clutch system and install the
HYMEC master cylinder.
ATTeNTION: If choke lever or hot
start lever available, reset them, see Vehicle Manual!
2. linE inStallation
Install line with slave cylinder (like the Bowden cable) in the mounting eyes on the frame.
ATTeNTION: When the steering is at full lock to the right and left the line must be able to move, it must not
come into contact with hot exhaust or engine parts and must not put the slave unit under tension or
compression! Always make sure that the line cannot be damaged – observe a safety margin of at least 30 mm
away from hot exhaust and engine parts!
3. SlavE inStallation
For installation with retainer:
> Detach return spring from clutch lifter lever.
IMPORTANT for the correct function of the HYMEC.
> Unscrew retainer from engine housing and place on HYMEC cylinder (if included in scope of delivery, e.g.
KXF, RMZ etc.,
always use the retainer supplied by MAGURA and do not mount it on the housing until the
existing bracket has been dismantled).
IMPORTANT: Slightly bend up the notched and U-shaped part of
the clutch lifter lever. The rod must not jam!
> If nipple retainer has been supplied, mount it on the rod, then attach the HYMEC cylinder with rod to the
clutch lifter lever.
> Screw cylinder with bracket/retainer onto the engine housing.
