• If the Avigilon Hirsch Gateway is installed on a server with both the Velocity
Server and Client software, select the Use Server Default Settings check box.
If not, enter the following:
•
SQL Server Instance: enter the SQL Server IP address
• Velocity Database: enter the Velocity Database name
•
Application Role Password: enter the password for the operator
configured during the integration installation.See Installation on page 2
• In the Reconnect attempt interval (seconds) text box, enter the length of time
before the Gateway tries to reconnect with the Velocity Server if it is
unexpectedly disconnected.
3. Click Add to add the Avigilon Server.

In the dialog box, enter the Avigilon Server IP Address, Port, User Name and
Password, then click OK.
Use the username and password created for the integration. See Adding an
Integration User in Avigilon on page 5.

Click OK.
4. In the Reconnect attempt interval (seconds) text box, enter the length of time before
the Gateway tries to reconnect with the Avigilon Server if it is unexpectedly
disconnected.
The Avigilon Hirsch Gateway searches both software systems for alarms that can be mapped
together.
Mapping Alarms
1. Open the Avigilon Hirsch Gateway configuration application.
2. Confirm that the server configurations are correct then click OK.
3. In the Velocity Alarms area, select an alarm to map.
