4.9 Checking and setting outfeed table:
CAUTION! This procedure involves close contact
with the planer blade. Ensure that gloves are worn
at all times to prevent injury to the hands and the
machine is disconnected from the power supply.
In order to accurately set the machine it is first nec-
essary to align the tables.
1. Set the infeed table to 0 Fig.4.16.
2. Now run a straight edge down the fence side of
the tables ensuring that the straight edge is long
enough to span the whole length of both the infeed
and outfeed tables. When placing the straight edge
on the tables, ensure that it does not rest on the
blades Fig.4.17.
3. Now make any adjustment necessary to the jack-
ing bolt on this side of the outfeed table in order to
level it to the infeed table Fig.4.18.
4. Now place the straight edge on the opposing side
of the tables again, making sure that the straight
edge spans the complete length of both tables

5. Once you have taken a reading from the straight
edge, adjust the jacking bolt to level the tables on
this side Fig.4.20.
6. The tables should now be level at both sides of
the cutterhead and therefore ready for setting the
knife height.
