magnifier back towards your eye until a Full Field of View is achieved. Make sure the magnifier will be a
safe distance from your eye when the firearm recoils. Once you are satisfied with your magnifier’s
position and placement in the ring, evenly tighten the four Upper Ring screws until the magnifier is
secured in the ring. Be sure not to over tighten the ring screws, as doing so can cause permanent
damage to the magnifier.
Now that you have the magnifier properly mounted onto your firearm’s rail, mount the reflex optic in
front of the magnifier. Mount the reflex optic as close to magnifier as you can, but make sure the optics
Do Not touch each other and that you still have access to the reflex optic controls.
Focusing Your Magnifier
CAUTION:
VIEWING THE SUN WITH THIS MAGNIFIER OR ANY OTHER OPTICAL
DEVICE CAN CAUSE PERMANENT INJURY TO THE EYE INCLUDING BLINDNESS
Holding the magnifier at the proper distance from your eye, in order to achieve a Full Field of View,
the image through the magnifier should appear sharp and clear. If not, it will be necessary to adjust
the focus by turning the Rubber Quick Focus Ring.
Turning the Quick Focus Ring counter-clockwise will extend the Ocular Lens outward, generally
suitable for those who are far sighted. Turning the Quick Focus Ring clockwise will draw the Ocular
Lens inward, generally suitable for those who are near sighted.
Fine tune your adjustments until the image appears sharp and clear. If the Ocular Lens reaches its
outer limits of adjustment, be sure not to force it as doing so will cause damage to the eyepiece.
Adjustment Vertical & horizontal Dials
Your NCSTAR magnifier is equipped with Vertical & Horizontal Adjustment Dials, which moves
your magnifier’s prismatic lens to adjust the image position in the magnifier. This will help center the
image of your reflex optic reticle in the magnifier.
To access the Adjustment Dials simply twist the protective caps off Counter-Clockwise. Set the
caps aside in a safe place. Please don’t forget to put the caps back on when you have finished making
your adjustments.
The Vertical Adjustment Dial is located on top of the Turret Body, and is responsible for the up
and down movement of the image.
Turning the Vertical Adjustment Dial Clockwise will shift the image Down (moves reticle Up).
Turning the Vertical Adjustment Dial Counter-Clockwise will shift the image Up (moves reticle Down).
The Horizontal Adjustment Dial is located on the right side of the Turret Body, and is responsible
for the left and right movement of the of the image.
Turning the Horizontal Adjustment Dial Clockwise will shift the image Left (moves reticle Right).
Turning the Horizontal Adjustment Dial Counter-Clockwise will shift the image Right (moves reticle
Left).
