6.5.1 Me m o ry Mo d u le Re p la c e m e n t
The flat bezel panel PC is preinstalled with two 2.0 GB DDR3 memory module. If the
memory module fails, follow the instructions below to replace the memory module.
S te p 1:
Follow all anti-static procedures. See Section 6.2.
S te p 4:
Turn off the power. See Section 6.3.
S te p 2:
Remove the back cover. See Section 6.4.1 above.
S te p 3:
Remove the internal aluminum back cover. See Section 6.4.2 above.
S te p 4:
Locate the DDR3 SO-DIMM on the motherboard.
S te p 5:
Remove the DDR3 memory module by pulling both the spring retainer clips
outward from the socket.
S te p 6:
Grasp the DDR3 memory module by the edges and carefully pull it out of the
socket.
S te p 7:
Install the new DDR3 memory module by pushing it into the socket at an angle
S te p 8:
Gently pull the spring retainer clips of the SO-DIMM socket out and push the
rear of the DDR memory module down (Figure 6-4).
S te p 9:
Release the spring retainer clips on the SO-DIMM socket. They clip into place
and secure the DDR memory module in the socket.
