Note that the LON OK LED will be extinguished if there is a problem with the Lon cable, or power is
not being supplied by the USB cable.
Identify COM port

Before it is possible to communicate with the LCI it is necessary to find out the COM port number
assigned to the USB port so that it can be specified when setting up the software to communicate
using the LCI/USB.
Set Up Software

Configure the software to communicate with the IQ System using the LCI. It is necessary to set the
software to communicate using the COM port assigned to the USB port see (9) at a baud rate of
19200. For details of how to do this see the documentation supplied with the software.

Hardware and Sound a program.

View Hardware and devices. The
Device Manager is displayed.
5 Click + next to
ports (COM & Lpt) and
check the port number assigned to Trend
Controls LCI USB.

My Computer and click
properties from the displayed menu.
The
System properties dialogue box is
displayed.
2 Click the
Hardware tab and then click
Device Manager. The Device Manager is
displayed.
3 Click + next to

check the port number assigned to Trend
