Thermostat Check resistance across terminals, or for pow er at thermostat or high
voltage board A/C output.
Valve, w ater Valve control w ater flow to ice maker. Check resistance across coil w indings.
Thermostat is in a series circuit betw een high voltage
board and defrost heater.
Opens and breaks circuit w hen thermostat senses
preset temperature above freezing.
After defrost thermostat opens, thermostat remains
open until end of defrost cycle and refrigerator starts
cooling again and defrost thermostat senses a preset
temperature generally below freezing.
At this temperature, defrost thermostat resets (closes)
for next defrost cycle.
