Customizing Your Telephone
Enter the emergency phone number that is to be dialed automatically
when you press and hold down the R key

entering phone numbers, see page 24.
Enter the voice mailbox access number (see also page 46). For informa-
tion on entering numbers, see page 24.
If this is activated, the handset will automatically answer an incoming
call after the first ring (this is useful if you are using a headset along
with your handset). You can press
to activate
or deactivate
this feature.
If this is activated, the handset will not signal any incoming calls while
in its charger cradle. You can press
to activate
or deactivate
this feature.
If this is activated, the handset will automatically answer calls when it
is removed from the charger cradle. If you replace the handset into the
charger your call will be terminated. You can press
to activate
or deactivate
this feature.
If this is activated, telephone book entries that have been defined as
quick call entries will be dialed immediately, i.e., without being copied
to predialing. In this case, it’s not possible to postdial numbers when
the quick dial entry has been dialed. If the feature is deactivated, the
phone number in question is first copied to predialing, where you can
add digits if required. You can press

If this is activated, the keypad will automatically be locked 60 seconds
after your last keypress. You can press

feature.
If this is activated, the display backlight will switch on automatically
whenever you take the handset out of the charger cradle. You can

this feature. If you
want to keep the battery charged, you should deactivate this feature.
Use the arrow keys or the number keys "1" to "8" to set the desired dis-
play contrast, and then press
.
If the time is not supplied by the system your settings can be made
here. Further on, you can select the time /date format which is used in
your country.
