When you are using the Portable CD-RW to record your own CDs, you can
use both CD-R disc and CD-RW discs. The CD-R/CD-RW discs must
comply with the Orange Book Part II standard.
Media Compatibility
CD-R disc is readable by CD-ROM, CD-R and CD-RW drives. CD-RW
disc is only readable by MultiRead CD-ROM and CD-RW drives, some
CD-R drives may read CD-RW disc too. The readability of data discs on
various systems will also be affected by the filenames/file system selected,
and the operating system(s) under which the disc is written and read.
Disc Handling
For best result of recording and also the care of the CD Discs, read the
following notes cautiously before using the Portable CD-RW.
Keep your CD-R/CD-RW discs clean by wiping the disc with a soft, dry
cloth radially, i.e. from the center straight out to the edge.
Dry the disc thoroughly before inserting it in the drive.
Never write on either side of a disc with a ballpoint pen or pencil. To
label CD-R/CD-RW discs, use only markers or label specifically
designed for CD-R/CD-RW media.
Avoid exposing discs to direct sunlight, and avoid storing them in areas
subject to high temperature or high humidity.
Store discs in cases to avoid dust, dirt, scratches, and bending.
